You’ll have a hard time finding a Brazilian rapper with a career as illustrous and internatioanlly praised as Karol Conka’s has been in the past few years.

April 2013 saw the release of Batuk Freak, her first album, an impeccable debut showcasing her impeccable delivery over club ready hip hop beats infused with Brazilian rhythms and sounds – sure to light up dance floors across the globe.

In Brazil, the album lead to nominations and awards from some of the country’s biggest media channels – UOL, MTV, Multishow, to name a few.

Internationally, it lead to 2x European Tours, 1x Australia, 1x Asia, as well as praise from the industry’s tastemakers, ranging from The Guardian to Billboard, Rolling Stone, and even BBC Radio1 (she was first person to do a live lounge performance in a language other than English).

2014 showed no signs of slowing down either, with Karol being handpicked for Adidas’ World Cup campaign soundtrack “BOTA”

Now signed to BUUUM Trax (label owned by Skol, Brazil’s biggest beer brand) and with a new album co-produced by Tropkillaz scheduled for Fall, Karol’s set to show the world there’s more to Samba beating out of Brazil.
